Vanilla Restaurant The refurbishment of approximately 3500sq ft of basement space in Gt Titchfield Street in London incorporates a fully fitted commercial kitchen together with 80 dining covers.
Hammerson Hammerson’s ‘Premium Washrooms’ were designed to meet their exacting brief; ‘… to provide 5-star facilities across our portfolio which will give our shoppers a world-class experience’. Ian led the Amalgam team commissioned to develop design guidelines and design a number of pilot projects that will create new ‘Premium washrooms and family rooms’, for its UK estate. The pilot schemes, next to Selfridges in the Bullring, Birmingham, include Female, Male, Disabled / Baby change blocks, as well as a new Changing Places facility.
Illamasqua Amalgam designer Carole Cobban is working closely with darkly glamourous make-up company Illamasqua to create visually dramatic new retail environments for sites both here in the UK, and overseas.
Eastside Inn The Client’s, Bjorn Van der Horst, former chef-patron of the Michelin-starred La Noisette, brief was to design a Bistro and fine dining restaurant around a central open kitchen, which he stated was to be the “heart of Eastside Inn”.

The British Council, Jerusalem Ian Gunter-Jones was commissioned to help with the simultaneous relocation of the two British Council Centres Jerusalem. He undertook feasibility studies and space evaluation exercises and worked with specialist security advisors as well as local property agents to evaluate various premises options. He then developed planning proposals and advised the local project teams with the branding and furnishing of the two new Centres in the Eastern and Western areas of the city.
