Chocolate Wonderland at Fortnum & Mason
Our team looked for a design concept that would balance Fortnum’s main mission of ‘a sense of pleasure’ with maximum shoppability and the need, in our fast-moving retail environment, for an evolved aesthetic that incorporated digital content where appropriate.
Fenwick Food Hall
Using quirky materials and textures with traditional touches, we sought to create a grand Food Hall that married Fenwick heritage with contemporary relevance. Housing three distinct restaurant concepts, an artisan patisserie, a specialist chocolatier, butcher and fishmonger, the Food Hall is a stylish and aspirational space in which to discover and delight in the very best the region and the world have to offer.
Our graphics team worked alongside interiors to redesign the Food Hall’s visual identity. We created a clean, modern and timeless marque which complements the overarching Fenwick brand and the wider store estate.
The Bay Seafood Bar
New concept and interior design for the seafood and champagne bar at Jarrold, Norwich’s flagship independent store and twice winner of UK Independent Department Store of the Year.
Bubble Magik at Selfridges
Our team drew on the brand’s roots for inspiration and created a new, stimulating interpretation of the Bubble Magik brand. We abstracted tapioca – the central ingredient of bubble tea – and introduced it into the design by choosing Solus’s small penny tiles as counter cladding, complemented by a bright corian counter top. Brass finishing and illumintated graphics combine to deliver a space that is light, bright and polished: perfect for the Selfridges’ community.
Farmacy
To bring the spirit of the brand to life, we looked to highlight its social and environmental conscience by using untreated woods and natural fibre upholstery within the scheme. We co-opted ‘sacred geometry’ from nature to inform the brand design, giving it flair, longevity and authority in a new, emerging sub-sector of the restaurant industry. The design was applied on signage, collateral and gifting including a cookery book, hampers, grow at home kits and a clothing range.
Parcafé, The Dorchester
Our interiors team chose a luxurious palette of materials and furnishings to differentiate the Parcafe – which sources its beans from independent London roastery Alchemy – from the myriad other coffee shops competing for custom in Mayfair. Our graphics team created the logo, brand identity and visual communication and the finished café featured in Design Week, DesignCurial and a number of digital platforms.
Lotte Food Hall
Our team partnered with Japanese-Korean conglomerate Lotte to redesign and upgrade its 140,000-sq. ft. Lotte Food Avenue food hall in Seoul.
Our work needed to push creative boundaries while respecting Lotte’s brand heritage and boost profits; we were mindful that the store had remained unchanged since it first opened more than 20 years ago.
Alongside the 3D work, we created the new graphic identity and brand for the food hall, which was then applied to all collateral.
