The Jet Business The centrepiece of the new brokerage is a 50ft long, wide-body fuselage which was designed and built at Design Q’s UK headquarters. It sits in a prime location, along the window frontage of the showroom and creates a focal point for passers-by, allowing them to view the luxurious jet interior. The showroom also includes a high-tech trading floor area, featuring 10 flight deck inspired trading stations – all beautifully upholstered in tan leather with contrast stitching and fitted with multiple screens. There is undoubtedly no office space like this anywhere else in the world!
Virgin Atlantic Design Q worked closely with Virgin Atlantic to produce a ground breaking and award winning business class product. Joint patent holders on the innovative ‘Herringbone layout’, the upper class suite transforms into a comfortable, fully flat bed, with a dedicated mattress on the rear of the seat. The unique herringbone configuration provides all passengers with both aisle access and a window seat.
Aston Martin QV8 The QV8 was a private commission where Design Q was tasked with upgrading the clients Aston Martin. We provided a change to its exterior details such as glazing, grille, bumpers and lights as well as designing a completely new interior. The vehicle has a comfort system controlled by a single touchscreen, controlling the air conditioning and sound system. A custom 800W sub-woofer and 8 speakers were fitted for the true audiophile. This is the only Aston Martin QV8 in the world.
Jaguar XJ Ultimate Edition Working alongside Jaguar’s design team, Design Q provided concept ideation, sketch proposals and form definition in the development of this super-luxury long wheelbase XJ. Prototypes were constructed with a unique rear occupant environment – incorporating new seating, tablet integration on the rear of the front seats, a power up cocktail/laptop table and a champagne cooler. The Learjet in the background also features a Design Q interior and is one of numerous interior programmes completed for Bombardier.
