Idle Medical Centre
The proposed building was to replace the existing medical centre. The design’s aim was to create a place which enables the visitors to feel at ease in a well organised space, creating an attractive internal environment with, central atrium around which all the consulting rooms are set for ease of access.
The building creates a recognisable identity through two distinct forms, with the public areas located in the two storey rectangular building and the administration areas in the circular drum, with the main waiting area enjoying an elevated position looking over the hills.
This project is featured in a number of NHS documents, an example of where building can create a positive experience and effect on the well being for the visitors.
Pateley Bridge Methodist Church
Radical internal alterations to a Church in a Conservation Area to provide a good level access for all users, including a new loft and level floor at the main Church level to reflect the changing use required to serve the community. The project has been a very successful alteration, in providing an attractive and modern environment, whilst retaining the traditional architectural heritage of the Church.

Masta – Offices
Industrial building refurbishment and a new extension to provide administration office and point of arrival. The design reflects the idea of the new extension being a container docked ready to drive off to deliver the medical supplies; a concept of mobility likened to travellers. This concept an unorthodox approach in exploring the relationship between event and form, hence developing a clear and distinct language of architecture to an otherwise ubiquitous industrial estate.
