Patagonia Place, Liverpool
Patagonia Place is a 31 storey, 278 apartment development, which will form part of Peel L&P Liverpool Waters £5bn regeneration. Falconer Chester Hall were appointed by Peel and Your Housing Group to revisit an earlier scheme for this site that had received planning permission but was commercially unviable. The Falconer Chester Hall team delivered a revised design for Your Housing Group that improved the viability through efficient planning and façade design.
The waterfront location offers incredible views across the River Mersey and will provide Your Housing Group with high quality apartments designed to meet the needs of today’s changing rental market.
The development comprises a mix of studio, 1,2 and 3 bed apartments, commercial/leisure space on the ground floor, a residents’ amenity space and roof terrace. The material palette selected for the scheme considers the marine grade environment, ensuring long lasting performance whilst providing a sleek façade.
Municipal Buildings, Liverpool
The magnificent Municipal Buildings on Dale Street is being converted into a luxury four-star hotel, scheduled for completion in early 2021. Our design includes a four-storey extension to the rear of the existing Grade II* listed building, providing a contrast to the existing building in its modernity but subservient in scale with bronze colour cladding and glass detailing.
The conversion of such an iconic building requires a sensitive refurbishment. The highly decorative spaces and existing window pattern are integral to the new design and dictate the division of rooms across the scheme.
The grand entrance will remain on Dale Street and the finished hotel will provide outstanding facilities; unique guest suites, spa, gym and spectacular top lit swimming pool. The hotel will also boast excellent conference and meeting facilities and a restaurant spilling into the atrium.
118-124 Duke Street, Liverpool
Our exciting new proposal for an Aparthotel provides high quality accommodation by one of Europe’s leading aparthotel operators, Staycity Group. The scheme is in the Ropewalks area and comprises the restoration of 4 deteriorated Grade II listed Georgian terraces and a new extension to the side and rear, providing a total of 200 hotel rooms and ancillary hotel facilities.
Lord Street, Liverpool
Falconer Chester Hall is helping revitalise Liverpool’s high street retail offering with a glittering exterior refurbishment of the old BHS store on Lord Street.
Working with owner Vabeld and the new tenants H&M, Falconer Chester Hall’s design replaced the previous monolithic façade with a lighter arrangement of full height glazing and elegant aluminium over-cladding.
Together with the design team, Falconer Chester Hall overcame the challenges of working with the existing building which has been subject to numerous redevelopments since the Blitz.
Moor Hall, Ormskirk
Chef Patron Mark Birchall, former executive chef of the famed L’Enclume restaurant in Cartmel, has teamed up with Andy and Tracey Bell to create the wonderful facilities found at Moor Hall in Aughton.
We are proud to have designed a sympathetic conversion and extension to the Grade II* listed manor house, creating a stunning restaurant with rooms. The neighbouring barn conversion is well underway and will open as a complementary informal dining experience in Summer 2017.
Hahnemann Building, Liverpool
