Kathryn studied Graphic Design at Falmouth College of Arts. After graduating she took an internship assisting the Interiors Editor of Wallpaper* Magazine. This experience fuelled her fascination with furniture and architecture and culminated in turning her attention towards the world of interiors.
Kathryn started her career by establishing the interior department at Absolute Design where she found her niche and a style direction which references Scandinavian design and utilises iconographic details.
In 2004 Kathryn set up her own interior design consultancy, Linea Studio, where she has developed a reputation for creating distinctive user-focused interiors that challenge client briefs and result in imaginative and engaging spaces with enduring appeal. Her steadfast commitment to using local manufacturers, sustainably-sourced materials and upcycled furniture paired with her approach to creative design and professional management ensures that she translates clients’ ideas into successful sustainable projects, which work both aesthetically and commercially.
