Based in Stoke Newington, Location Location required a full refurbishment of their store front. Matteo Bianchi Studio incorporated the natural greenery walls and wooden desks, juxtaposed with concrete walls and stone floors creating a warm comforting and modern interior.
The client request was a full ground refurbishment creating an open naturally lit space in order to entertain guests.
Matteo Bianchi Studio designed the space to include an open bar kitchen which would allow guests to interact with each other from the kitchen to the dinning area, as well as an open plan living room allowing for the option to relax in a separate area without being cut off from the other sections of the floor.
The bi-folding back doors allows for the ground floor to seamlessly open up into the garden creating a bigger entertaining area.
Situated opposite the famous period Smithfield Market, Apulia was set to be converted into an eatery reminiscent of southern Italy – their home soil. The clients wanted an accurate portrayal of the Italian region both in atmosphere and food. The concept most favoured was a throw back to the 1940’s – simplicity, authenticity and warmth.
The restaurant has plenty of authentic charm. Matteo Bianchi Studio designed the lighting, tables and banquettes and a lot of items were sourced from vintage markets and the region of Apulia itself to give a distinctive, genuine touch.
As it is a family business, the Studio wanted to ensure that from the moment you step into the restaurant you are greeted with the familiar ring of a bell; the smells, warmth and welcome of stepping back into 1940’s Apulia, to experience the home cooked cuisine like Mama used to make. Despite the vintage touches, Apulia is fresh and feels original amongst many contemporary restaurants in the area.
Matteo Bianchi Studio brings their keen eye for original, unique and elegant Interiors to this 3 bedroom Pied-a-Terre in the heart of Chelsea. The Studio created an affinity between two styles, miles apart. A common and current brief, which becomes a challenge when applied to a high-end scheme: ‘East meets West’ with a Hotel Feel for the clients who are a family based in Hong Kong and come to work and study in London.
The brief called for an exploration of colours and styles, whilst creating a space that is functional and appropriate for both the couple and their children. The clients have a strong Asian style preference and wanted to bring this to their first apartment in the city with an eclectic London touch. The existing space had many constraints being on the top floor of a Victorian Mansion and will small bathrooms and kitchen so intelligent space planning, the design of bespoke furniture and a well-considered lighting scheme played a key part in the accomplishment.
A luxury development consisting of 5 apartments, in the heart of London’s West End. The brief for this old Georgian property was to keep the Georgian elements with a modern and contemporary finish. The client wanted to use wood throughout and make use of the abundance of natural light, creating a fresh and welcoming environment.
A beautiful top to bottom home refurbishment of this suburban house in South West London. As well as rejuvenating the interior of the existing home – which now exudes class, elegance and luxury, we also extended, adding an additional building to the property – a home gym at the rear end of the garden.
Matteo Bianchi Studio’s brief – A Wellness Medispa in South Kensington, offering a range of specialist and natural treatments including Red Wine Bath Therapy.
The Ella Di Rocco Wellness MediSpa is a project, which is different and challenging. This is a one of a kind wellness centre in London, directed by Dr Anna Brilli with her daughter Sonia Milena Brilli, space where one can take advantage of special and unique treatments. For example, in the MediSpa baths, you can bathe in wine, immersing yourself completely in the liquid, full of skin revitalising antioxidants, as they used to do in Ancient Rome.
The interiors have been designed to accommodate all facilities needed for a luxury wellness centre inside a retail space with limited square footage. The entrance to the MediSpa is at street level. Beyond the glass door, guests are greeted by a relaxing reception area with bespoke seats and tables by Alivar, where they can sit down and await their consultation. On the walls, a composition of shelves and circular mirrors by Gallotti & Radice showcases the products on sale in the store.
A family house which required redesigning in suburban North London. The clients frequently entertain their friends and family, so they wanted to ensure we could accommodate everyone in a comfortable and stylish way which was also spacious and relaxing. With the addition of a full-width rear extension, we created new spaces for a formal Dining Room, a large open plan Kitchen with a Breakfast Bar and fully integrated appliances, and a stunning new Living Room. Throughout, we used dark paint colours to compliment the richly textured fabrics, understated wallpapers, deep wool carpet, polished copper side tables and accessories.
